The Minnesota Local Group hosted a program focused on using AI in legal marketing. On October 10, 2023, Jason Thomas, Chief Information Officer at Cole, Scott & Kissane (CSK), shared resources and insights on how legal marketers can effectively use AI to help with automation and implementation to make their life easier.
Jason shared that his general AI rule of thumb is "Trust but verify." Tools using AI can be extremely helpful, but always be sure to verify information for accuracy. Don't upload confidential information unless you have a private version of a tool. Many law firms are starting to create AI governance policies to govern usage and professional liability.
There are many new tools coming out at a very rapid pace, and it's hard to keep up and know which are best. Below are some tips, tools, and resources to consider.
