LMA New York wants you to serve on our 2022 Local Steering Committee. 2022 will be a special year for us as LMA NY celebrates its 30th Anniversary. You can play a key leadership role in making next year a memorable one for our members and helping to shape our future for years to come.
Both the LSC and you will benefit from your active participation. You can help us transition back to in-person events and be directly involved in such key functions as membership development, communications and special interest groups (SIGs) in addition to programming.
Serving on the LSC enables you to enhance leadership skills, impact your industry, and make important business connections who can advance your career.
The New York LSC offers a variety of opportunities, including Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Members-at-Large who focus on specific Committee tasks.
We are seeking candidates to fill the following positions in 2022:
- Secretary
- Member-at-Large, Programming Chair
- Member-at-Large, Communications Chair
- Member-at-Large, Sponsorship Chair

Please note these important dates if you are interested:
- July 26: Call for Leaders opens
- August 13: Call for Leaders close
- August 23–27: Review of candidate submissions
- Week of August 30: Nominees notified and slate announced
This is a slate format whereby candidates will be appointed; this is not an election process.
Eligibility for Service:
- Must be an LMA member for at least one year
- Must be an LMA member in New York for at least one year
- Membership must be in good standing (i.e., dues current)
- Must have employer approval to participate as necessary
- Cannot be serving on more than one LMA board (international, regional or LSC) at any one time
