On May 4, the Boston Local Steering Committee hosted a lively panel on when to turn to outsourcing for your legal marketing needs. Our panelists included Vanessa Schaefer, Jim Durham, Jenn Irvine, Deb Scaringi, and Lisa Murray.

- Things to consider outsourcing: PR, BD coaching, Graphic design, Client Feedback, and additional training (among others).
- How do you find the right people to outsource to? The same way you find clients- references!
- How should you handle pushback from leadership? Consider educating them on marketing in general- it’s a broad industry and you want to have experts helping you so that you can spend your time on the things you are an expert in.
- Remember: bringing consultants on is not a “set-it-and-forget-it” relationship. It’s a true collaboration and you have to stay involved.
