We are thrilled to offer one individual the opportunity to join their fellow Midwest members in sunny San Diego at the upcoming 2024 Annual Conference, April 3rd-5th! This conference scholarship aims to provide an individual who otherwise would not be able to attend, the opportunity for education and connection at the international conference. Please see below for all of the details. The submission deadline is March 7th!
2024 #MidwestENGAGE Scholarship Details:
- The scholarship will cover conference registration for one person that includes, two nights of hotel accommodations and airfare, with a total value of up to $3,000
- Applicants must not already be registered for the conference
- Submissions must be received by 5:00 PM CT, March 7th, 2024 for consideration
Selection Criteria & Requirements:
- Be a current member in good standing within the LMA Midwest Region
- Obtain prior approval from their direct supervisor to attend the conference
- Not have been past recipients of the LMA Midwest Region scholarship
If selected, recipients must:
- Agree to post a minimum of 1 LinkedIn post each day of the conference and tag the LMA Midwest Region. Posts must also include a photo of themselves with others and use hashtag #MidwestENGAGE. If the recipient does not have a LinkedIn profile, the recipient will work with the Midwest communications committee Chair to create a suitable alternative
- Agree to have their profiles promoted on various LMA social media platforms
- Provide a summary of at least one conference session for publication on the Regional Website and Newsletter
- Agree to connect via Zoom with their Local Steering Committee Chair prior to and following the conference
Application Process:
To apply for the scholarship, interested members must make a business case, in no more than 500 words, for why they should be selected and submit it to Tanya Riggan, tanya.riggan@koleyjessen.com, no later than 5:00 PM CT, March 7th. Creative initiatives to leverage our 2024 theme - #MidwestENGAGE – are strongly encouraged!
Additional Details:
- The scholarship is only applicable to the 2024 LMA Annual Conference and is non-transferrable to other individuals or future conferences
- Scholarship recipients must provide an itemized receipt for their airfare. Airfare should be booked no later than the week of March 11- 15
- Conference registration and hotel room booking from April 3rd – April 5th will be managed by the Midwest Region
Selection Committee:
The Selection Committee will consist of the 2024 Regional President and three additional members of the LMA Midwest Regional Board.
