:: 2010 LMA BAY AREA CHAPTER CALL FOR ENTRIES ::
The Bay Area Legal Marketing Association (LMA Bay Area) is accepting proposals for presentations for the 2010 program year. Our programming attracts on average 40 professionals, including senior marketers and attorneys, and we have received outstanding feedback from our attendees. For the 2010 season, we aim to provide more high-quality programming that addresses cutting-edge issues and new industries, and new approaches to staid industries.
LMA Bay Area is seeking speakers to present educational programs to its membership that provide strategic, conceptual, tactical and applicable advice for members to take back to their firms and put into practice. We are seeking fresh topics spanning the spectrum of marketing and business development, including competitive intelligence, business development training & coaching, leadership, marketing communications and technology. We welcome presentations on other topics of interest to legal marketers.
The program format is typically a moderated discussion. When submitting your proposal, please include the names of the proposed moderator and three panelists. Panelists are typically in-house marketers, outside service providers, and/or lawyers. If appropriate for your topic, we also welcome panelists with relevant experience from industries other than legal. (As an example, the chapter previously held a program about branding, which included executives from various branding agencies with experience in not only the legal industry, but also the consumer goods and other industries.) Try to design your topic to appeal to a cross-section of experience levels (junior, mid- and senior-levels) and law firm sizes (from 10 to 1,000+ attorneys).
Programs are held monthly from noon to 1:30 p.m., at The Bar Association of San Francisco (downtown San Francisco), or at firms located in or around the Financial District. Presentations should be formatted to one hour in length with a 15-minute Q&A.
Please e-mail your proposal (Word document, PDF format or within the body of an e-mail ONLY) to Domenica Curran, Program Co-Chair, LMA Bay Area, domenica.curran@sdma.com. Please include "Response to 2010 RFP" in the subject line of your e-mail. The deadline for submission of proposals is Monday, November 2, 2009.
We look forward to hearing from the community!
