The co-chairs of the Public Relations SIG (Ryan King and John Buchanan) are pleased to announce that LMA will update the name of the SIG to the PR & Communications SIG. We believe that “PR & Communications” better and more inclusively reflects and matches our members’ day-to-day work as many of our members either already have broader communications responsibility at their firms or are being asked to handle more traditional communications strategies and tactics beyond strictly PR. While PR is still the core discipline in which most of our members are involved, PR roles at many firms are evolving to include internal communications, social media, and other communications-related activities.
