Happy New Year everyone! I wanted to let you know about an exciting free webinar I'm moderating on successful integrated social media campaigns at law firms. The event is jointly sponsored by the LMA Capital Chapter together with the MD/DC/DE Chapter of the Association for Accounting Marketing and the Marketing Directors Support Group. Presenters include Kelly Hoey, formerly of White & Case LLP, Russell Lawson from Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, PC and Andrea Stimmel from Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP.

We'll be looking at the firms' fan pages, LinkedIn profiles, blogs, Twitter feeds, etc. in real time so you'll be able to see what they're doing in social media and how they are doing it.

Follow the hastag #ISMC on Twitter to get updates and chat with others who will be participating.

The webinar is Thursday January 28, 11:30am-2pm. Below is a brief description and you can read more about the program herehere. To register, please email Kelly Ernest at kernest@tydingslaw.com.

In the DC metro area, a law firm, two accounting firms, a university and a think tank are hosting viewing/listening parties. And members of AAM have already been encouraged to set up their own events too. I encourage you to gather with your peers to participate in the discussion.  It's a great opportunity to network and contribute to the dialogue. Tweet about your gathering, post it on your Facebook firm fan page, put it up on LinkedIn as an event, etc...

Hope you can join us on the January 28th!
    Cheers,
    Leigh

Through a lively, interactive panel discussion moderated by Leigh George of Moiré Marketing Partners, you'll learn from case studies of three of the first efforts to implement coordinated social media campaigns at law firms. Kelly Hoey will discuss the transformation of the alumni outreach efforts at White & Case LLP using social media. Russell Lawson will describe the social media campaign he manages at Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, PC, including eight firm blogs, over 70 LinkedIn profiles and several dozen Twitter accounts. Andrea K. Stimmel will take you through the social media strategy at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, which includes Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs and Twitter to develop new business. Significant time during the session will be spent fielding questions from the audience via Twitter so you can learn how to apply lessons from the session to the specific conditions at your firms.

    You will learn:
    •    Best practices for developing a social media campaign
    •    The strengths and weaknesses of key social media tools for professional services firms
    •    Key steps marketers should take when developing a social media campaign
    •    How to gain buy-in from firm management for a social media campaign
    •    How to measure the success of your campaign
