Hello!
Welcome everyone to the Diversity & Inclusion Shared Interest Group. We are excited to officially kick off the SIG during Black History Month!
Our goal for the SIG is to continue to arm members with information to help move the ball forward on diversity & inclusion within your own firms and across the industry, by providing a space where we can share ideas and best practices through programming and lively discussions in all areas of this initiative. And we can’t do this without you. Please join us in this dialogue!
We know that everyone is at a different place within their firm re: D&I initiatives, so we want to learn more about what’s important to you! What insight and guidance do you need to be successful? With that in mind, we have an ask (okay maybe a few):
- Please fill out our D&I SIG Poll. We need your feedback! The best way to ensure we are meeting your needs is to receive data to guide us. In return for less than three minutes of your time, we will provide you thoughtful education throughout the year to assist you!
- Join our first program! We are excited to have Chris Kirby & C. Dominica McGinnis presenting on “Deliberate Diversity – Intentional Inclusion. A Marketer’s Internal Role in Diversity & Inclusion.” Please see the below link to register and learn more about the role legal marketers can play.
- Consider volunteering! There are plenty of roles you can play in moving our diversity and inclusion efforts forward. Consider joining us in a micro-volunteer role in social media, communication, programming logistics and more. If interested, please reach out to us!
- Connect with us! We are also providing links below on how to stay more connected, whether it’s with us, within the SIG, or at the Annual Conference. I mean, who’s excited to see Baratunde Thurston? :)
In the meantime, we are thrilled to have you as members of the SIG and welcome all insight on how, together, we can continue to elevate this very critical initiative.
Looking forward to connecting with you all!
