Words matter. We are pleased to announce that LMA has added the word “equity” to our SIG, which is now officially the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Shared Interest Group.
We believe that the addition of equity to “diversity, equity and inclusion” is important for our overall DEI efforts, which should always include being a fair and impartial organization and supporting our members to remove barriers and improve equal access to opportunities at all times. Our intention is to continue to build on the great education, idea sharing and discussions facilitated through our community. We are excited to share this important name change that reflects the positive vision of equity for all.
We are sharing this news with you, our SIG members, first, and will announce the change to the full membership in tomorrow's LMA Weekly newsletter.
