How do they overlap, complement and/or support each other? I always find a connection of my experience in legal marketing & event management being incredibly useful in my volunteering. Every organization that I ever volunteered on LOVED having a marketing mind involved. From the nitty gritty of handling event logistics to the broader approach of knowing who your target audience is and how to communicate with them, a marketer’s insight on that is very different from operations, financial folks and others who are volunteering their time. Everyone I have ever worked with has always appreciated that perspective and needs and WANTS to include it!
