The New Jersey-based law firm of Stark & Stark has an immediate opening for a Practice Development Specialist to join the firm’s marketing team in the firm’s Princeton office.
The Practice Development Specialist will be responsible for managing a variety of marketing and business development efforts and initiatives including client pitches, responding to RFPs/proposals, conducting research, writing content, and sales pipeline management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Competitive intelligence research and reporting.
- Drafting client pitches and presentations, responses to requests for proposal, and perform experience collection research aimed at driving new business into the firm.
- Website content writing and updating.
- Coaching attorneys on best practices to leverage social media for visibility and promotion of attorneys, practices, events and thought leadership.
- Implementation and follow-up of practice group and attorney business development plans in conjunction with the Director of Practice Development.
- Practice development pipeline tracking and reporting.
- Dashboard reporting of practice group key performance indicators from the firm’s various database systems.
- Represent the firm at seminars, events, conferences and tradeshows, as may be required or assigned. This includes managing exhibit booth set-up, staffing, and meaningfully engaging with clients and prospects. Some travel, including overnight, may be required (20-40%).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
- Minimum of two to three years of experience in marketing or business development in a professional services environment (law firm experience strongly preferred).
- Superior written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with attorneys, colleagues and other stakeholders at all levels.
- Technological savvy in all Microsoft Office and Adobe Create Suite applications, with advanced skillset in Excel and Adobe InDesign.
- Positive work attitude and ability to collaborate in a team environment is a must.
Salary Range: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
