In 2014, led by President Corey Garver and supported by our Member, Technology and Sponsorships Chairs, Program Chair Liz Gooch and her committee set out to create an educational calendar that focused on relevant, tangible ideas, case studies, and best practices that could be immediately implemented by attendees. Knowing the importance of networking to the Chapter, our Events Chair, Whitney Krebs, worked with member firms to develop a roster of law firm venues and created terrific social events where lasting memories were made. Our Future Leaders SIG co-chairs, Michelle Gamlen, Kara Kane, and Inna Kolomiytsev, continued to engage our active population of burgeoning leaders with both interesting programs speaking directly to their challenges and bonding happy hours. Our Baltimore City Group Leader, Jenna (O'Connor) Schiappacasse, continued to develop and engage a strong population of legal marketers in Baltimore and has worked closely with the Capital Chapter Board to connect the two cities through video conferencing of educational programs and encouraging travel between cities for social events.
