On August 7th, the Raleigh/Triad City Group will host its second annual DIY Marketing Workshop for Solo & Small Firms at Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. The workshop is a unique opportunity for local LMASE members to showcase the profession and their role in the legal market. Last year's workshop was attended by fifty practitioners and it was clear, during and following the event, that there was a need in the local legal community for marketing and business development education for attorneys.
The nature of the event, designed for those firms and attorneys without marketing programs, budgets or professionals, lends itself to an interactive program on the role of marketing in the legal profession.
This year's keynote speaker is Tea Hoffman, Esq., of Law Strategy Corp. who will discuss developing a marketing and business development strategy. Other presentations include: "Marketing Through Networking," "Ethics of Legal Marketing," and "Starting from Scratch."
Two new features this year are a Digital Marketing Panel and an "Ask me Anything" roundtable. The Digital Marketing Panel is a diverse group of local marketers working in the industry but outside of the firm structure. The Ask me Anything roundtable will be an opportunity for the audience to bring their own specific needs and questions directly to our local City Group members.
As anyone immersed in this career knows, many conversations begin with, "How do you market a law firm," when someone hears of your profession. Many of us have found the same questions come from inside the industry, and the Raleigh/Triad City Group is dedicated to educating the local legal community on our role and the services our members provide on a daily basis.
