Business Profile: Lucy Jones is a business development guru and a leader in the legal marketing industry. In her role as the Director of Business Development at the Association for Corporate Counsel, Lucy oversees all of the non-dues revenues for the association. This includes ACC sponsorships and advertising sales. Her responsibility is to connect individuals who would like to do business with the ACC's membership. It is a role that she has taken on masterfully having been very successful in bringing a variety of new opportunities to the association.
Lucy is an active member of LMA's Capital Chapter. She served on the board as the chair of the program committee where she coordinated and implemented some of the chapter's most successful events.
Lucy has been working in the legal profession for a number of years. She started as a paralegal at Bryan Cave and then moved to Lexis Nexis where she worked as a Strategic Client Manager. In 2007, she became the Director of Business Development at the ACC.
Outside the Office: Lucy is an avid traveler when she is not working. She loves to travel to exotic locations and really dive into the local culture. She travels annually to Puerto Rico but says that the most exciting trip that she has ever taken was to South Africa where she went on safari. It was a great experience and one that she will never forget.
