Chapter member Tom Mariam wrote an article for LMA’s Strategies+ blog titled “The Importance of Openly Acknowledging Addiction at Firms.” The article is based on the true story of NYLMA member Lisa Smith and her revealing award-winning book, “Girl Walks Out of a Bar.” It covers her experiences and, more significantly, how others in law firm environments who have fallen prey to alcohol, drug or other addictions, can be helped.
