As you may already have noticed, LMA recently launched a new website. With the new site comes a new blog-based platform for In the Loop. Now, you can scan the contents of an entire edition, rate articles, add comments and share your favorites on your social networks.
The site also has a new community feature which provides opportunities to interact and connect with your LMA colleagues. We encourage all of you to take a moment to build out your LMA profile page so you can start engaging right away with the LMA online community.
To update your profile, first log in to legalmarketing.org, then:
- Click “For Members” in the header, then “My LMA”
- To the right, you’ll see a sidebar that says “About this User.” Below that, click “My Page” (Alternatively, you can click the “My Options” dropdown at the very top right of the website, then select “My Page”).
- This should open up your profile page (which is where the byline link will send users). Here, go to the “Actions” drop down to update your picture, contact information, etc.
- Please be sure to update your “Visibility Settings” to hide any information that you do not want to be visible to the public. It will still show up in your private view, but with a * to denote that it is hidden to the public.
- To add your Twitter or LinkedIn accounts or blog, select “Update My Contact Links” from the “Actions” drop down. If you are really ambitious, you can add some widgets, too!
When you’ve updated your profile, use the “user search” and “user lookup” functions to find LMA members to follow or connect with. If you have any questions regarding the new site, please contact Tina Johns at tjohns@schiffhardin.com.
