Capital Chapter Your Honor Awards

"Why didn't I think of that" is what I thought when I saw Latham and Watkins' LLP, The Book of Jargon™.

"Why cannot I be more generous with my time" is what I think when I look at one of my LMA friends who is balancing a new job, family and even recovering from surgery all the while giving back to the LMA community. Generosity, hard work, innovation, and creativity are the cornerstones of our legal marketing community and those talented individuals who performed with distinction should be recognized. To this end, the Capital Chapter is again affording you the opportunity to turn the spotlight on our deserving members by with our second annual Your Honor Awards. Let your voice be heard by submitting a nomination for those talented people who have made an impression on you.

Nominations from members in the following categories are being accepted from now until Friday, September 9, 2011:

  • Big Idea: How has your PR, advertising, technology or business development campaign raised the bar and what can the Capital Chapter LMA members learn from your success? What is a marketing or business development strategy or initiative your firm has put into action that has produced measurable results? The "Big Idea" winner is presented to the chapter member(s) who have brought their marketing efforts to the next level and whose actions can provide solutions that will help motivate colleagues facing similar challenges.
  • Member of the Year: The "Member of the Year" award recognizes the contributions of a chapter member who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the growth and success of our chapter by furthering the goals of LMA.
  • Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame Award will be given to an individual who has made significant contributions to the legal marketing industry, the Capital Chapter and its members, and has consistently demonstrated the highest levels of experience and leadership. Capital Chapter members in good standing who have been actively involved in the legal marketing profession for a minimum of 10 years are eligible for consideration.

For the Big Idea Award, we encourage you to use this as a chance to share your professional success with us. Both the Member of the Year and our Hall of Fame Award winners will provide you the opportunity to applaud the contributions of your peers and mentors in the profession.

Need some inspiration? At the national level, this year's Your Honor Award talent honorees included:
