How did you get into Legal Marketing?
Like many I’ve met in Legal Marketing, I came into it by happenstance. Nine years ago, after moving to a new city and leaving a career behind, I found an open entry-level position and grabbed it! But I soon found it was a perfect fit with my interests and skills.
If you weren’t in Legal Marketing, what would you be doing instead?
In my dreams, I’d be running a juice bar on a tropical beach someplace. In reality, I’d probably be doing something very similar to what I do now- where I could get to know people well, understand their goals and help them find their path to success. It goes back to my education as a Mental Health Counselor, I think.
What is your favorite aspect of LMA New England?
I enjoy having the opportunity to discuss ideas, challenges and emerging trends with others in the industry. No one understands the joys and frustrations of legal marketing like other legal marketers.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I was a quiet and shy teenager. NO ONE believes that!
What are three words others would use to describe you?
Kind, smart and fun- I hope…
What is your favorite travel destination and why?
Mexico. I go almost every year with my whole family, and it’s peaceful time to relax and reconnect.
What actor would play you in a movie?
Does everyone just answer “Meryl Streep” to this one? They should.
If you could pick any place to live, where would it be?
I picked Portland, Maine! It’s pretty ideal. We have diverse scenery, culture, cuisine, community, and easy access to beaches and mountains… it’s hard to beat, except in February/March. Then, I’d pick almost anyplace else.
If you had a superhero power, what would it be?
Instant transportation. I have no patience for traffic and travel time, and I probably drive too fast.
If you could live in any other period of time, when would it be?
The 20’s were a time of economic prosperity, increasing cultural open-mindedness, artistic creativity, technological breakthroughs, and feminist progress- not to mention the very cool aesthetics of the Deco movement. I think that would have been a fascinating time to be alive.
