Sincere thanks for all your positive comments on “CI.” Please continue to let us know what you know regarding promotions, job changes, awards, marriages, births and whatever you think our chapter colleagues would like to know—but nothing scandalous! Wait—forget that. We’ll listen to anything!
Hooray and a BIG Welcome
Very exciting news. Welcome to the LMA Midwest Kansas City City Group and all our wonderful KC colleagues who have joined our great community. Thanks to Allison Berey, chief marketing officer at Polsinelli and the KC City Group chair, for a great job. Allison is eagerly seeking a fellow co-chair for the group and is enthusiastically rounding up new members. KC’s first program was September 11th, featuring, appropriately, LMA’s president Tim Corcoran. Wish Allison great and continued success at aberey@polsinelli.com.
Congrats and Rave Reviews
Jim Jarrell, business development manager at Barnes & Thornburg and co-chair of the LMA Midwest Chicago City Group, took the stage at Davenports Piano Bar, Chicago, on June 18 for a one-night-only performance of his cabaret act titled, “Between Us Friends.” The show was a mixture of personal stories, jokes, celebrity anecdotes and some of his favorite show tunes. Jim tells us he has been inspired by satirical essayist David Sedaris and the late Broadway legend Beatrice Arthur. Everyone who attended his show gave Jim rave reviews. Plans are in the works for an encore performance later this fall, so stay tuned for a reprise. For more information, contact Jim at jjarrell@btlaw.com.
