Expressions of Interest for all Regional Governing Board positions across all LMA regions are due by 12:00 p.m. central on Tuesday, August 1.
- President-elect (3 year commitment: President-Elect in 2018, President in 2019, Immediate Past President in 2020)
- Treasurer-elect (2 year commitment: Treasurer-Elect in 2018, Treasurer in 2019)
- Two Directors at Large (2 year commitment)
Eligible members are invited to express their interest in serving on the Regional Governing Board (i.e., self-nominate), or nominate others for service.
Criteria
- Each nominee must have been a member of the Legal Marketing Association for at least one year at the time of nomination.
- A candidate must be a member in good standing (i.e. dues must be current) and they must have been a member for at least one year in a Local that will be located in the region that they will serve.
- A candidate must have approval of employer, if applicable, to participate in board service.
- No individual may serve on more than one LMA board (international, regional or local steering committee) at any one time.
- A candidate may only apply to one Regional Governing Board.

Nominating committees will verify eligibility, interview candidates and references, and put forth a slate for ratification by the membership. Members will ratify the Regional Governing Board slates in September, and new board members will begin their service as of January 1, 2018.
