Breaking: 'Magic Circle' UK firm considering Vancouver for legal staffing hub
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a leading UK law firm, is considering opening a legal services hub in Vancouver. According to reports, the firm is looking to expand its legal services facilities to time zones that would provide coverage for 24/7 client service. Read more here.
French-headquartered law firm opens its doors in Vancouver
Earlier this year, DS Avocats, a Paris-based law firm with almost 300 lawyers practicing across 22 cities worldwide, opened in Vancouver. The firm has other Canadian offices in Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto.

A new international law firm
On February 22, the law firms of Gowlings (Canada) and Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co (WLG, headquartered in the UK), combined to form Gowling WLG. The new firm has more than 1,400 legal professionals in 18 cities worldwide. This combination is the first of its kind to be co-led by a Canadian firm. Find out more about Gowling WLG here.

Event review: Growing Your Firm with Marketing Automation, Inbound Marketing and Content Strategy
On February 2nd, we held our first educational event of 2016.
We were lucky to secure Randall Craig, a web strategist based in Toronto, to present to us on 'Growing Your Firm with Marketing Automation, Inbound Marketing and Content Strategy'.
