Where is your favorite place to go to relax? The library and a walk in the park
What is your favorite TV show? Favorite movie? Favorite TV shows include Criminal Minds and Scandal. Favorite movie of all time is The Lion King (yes, I’m still a kid at heart).
What is your favorite cuisine? Anything italian — spaghetti, rigatoni, pizza, etc.
If you were stranded on a desert island, who or what would you want to have with you? My family, books, a notebook, pen and pencil, food and a mechanic to repair the vehicle that got us stranded.
Who are the most important people in your life? My son, Alston, and husband, Lenwood
What is the first thing you read in the morning? My two-year-old son’s counting book while we get dressed.
How did you get into legal marketing? I was hired as a freelance writer to cover an employee on family leave and the law firm hired me full time when the employee decided to not return.
What is the best thing about your job? As a former in-house legal marketing professional and now the owner of a marketing and writing services firm, I have managed a broad range of projects. I enjoy the challenges and rewards that come with being a business owner as well as the longstanding relationships I continue to build along the way.
What advice would you offer a new entrant to the world of legal marketing? Use your unique background and experience to offer innovative ideas and strategies. Don’t always rely on what’s already been done … try something new.
