Loop's Scoop

Sincere thanks for all your positive comments on “CI.” Please continue to let us know what you know regarding promotions, job changes, awards, marriages, new babies and whatever you think our chapter colleagues would like to know — but nothing scandalous. Wait, forget that. We’ll listen to anything!

New Ventures

Welcome to Jennifer Gamber, formerly marketing communications associate at CGN Blackwell Consulting in Chicago and now a member of the great team at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun headed by Anna Behrman. Jennifer is a marketing and business development strategist at the firm. Hooray!  Also, Jennifer is the new editor of In the Loop. We are thrilled. Contact Jennifer.

Congratulations to Michelle Rutz, formerly with Locke Lord. Michelle is now director of marketing at Barak Ferrazzano. Send good wishes to Michelle.

Best wishes to long-time LMA Midwest member Michael James, formerly marketing and business development manager at Much Shelist. Michael is now a business development manager at Vedder Price, joining Erin Veazey Baxendale and her great team. Say “hello” to Michael.

Congratulations to Diane Shaughnessy who is the new communications and public relations manager at Much Shelist, reporting to the fabulous and talented Stephanie Hall and her team. Welcome Diane.

Hello again to Mary Bedke, marketing director at Gould Ratner. Mary is one of the original members of LMA Midwest and a former chapter president. We are thrilled to have her back in our legal marketing community. Send regards to Mary.

Esther Bowers, formerly with Barnes & Thornburg in Indianapolis, is now a business development manager at Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn, Detroit. Lucky woman! She’s working with LMA Midwest secretary and a wonderful guy, Rich Marsolais. Send a ‘shout out’ to Esther.

Welcome to Priscilla Murray, business development specialist at Husch Blackwell Sanders in St. Louis. Priscilla joins our lovely and wise friend, Maureen Farr, business development director at the firm and St. Louis City Group co-chair. Contact Priscilla.

LMA member Andrea Caputo, formerly a marketing manager at accounting firm Blackman Kallick is now with Groupon in their marketing department.

Mergers

We almost missed this one. Congratulations to Kelly Brouton, who is now Kelly Pricemoore, membership coordinator at Leading Lawyers Network. (Publisher and all-around capo, Scott Anderson at LLN is one of our favorite people and an avid supporter of LMA Midwest!) Keeping it all in the legal community, Kelly’s husband Josh Price-Moore is the son of Helene Price (marketing department, Jenner & Block) and Don Moore, a retired attorney at Holmstrom & Kennedy, Rockford, and a former Leading Lawyer! Josh is owner of JPM Woodworking, where he designs and builds custom furniture. Send good luck to Kelly.

Acquisitions

All our best to Megan Wilroy, at Foley & Lardner and former LMA Midwest president, and husband Blair, on the birth of their son Jackson Kramer Wilroy (a.k.a. “Jacks”). Born in April, baby Jacks was 19.5 inches and 8 pounds. Megan can be reached at mwilroy@foley.com.

Better late than never - Congratulations to Christy Baas, manager of global branding and media at Miller Canfield, Detroit, and husband Jason, who have a new son Jaxon Manning Baas, born August 2011. Wish Christy and family good wishes at baas@millercanfield.com.

By the way, we always love to hear news from the City Groups and will always include the news we receive.

  • Brian Kiefer, formerly V.P. with GreenTarget Global Group, is now director of public relations at Seyfarth Shaw.
