Where did you grow up? Tonawanda, NY (suburb of Buffalo)

What was your first job? Peeling and hand-making onion rings and cooking at Ted’s Hot Dogs

What would you be doing if you weren't in your current job? Architect or professional soccer coach

What is currently on your iPod? Classics: Genesis, James Taylor, CSN&Y, plus what the kids put on

Where is your favorite place to go to relax? Fuller House Porch at BAYarts, Huntington Beach Reservation

What is your favorite TV show? Favorite movie? Colbert Report, original Godfather

What is your favorite cuisine? Currently on high protein, low carb diet anything healthy (miss chicken wings!!)

If you were stranded on a desert island, who or what would you want to have with you? My wife Kathy & my golf clubs

Who are the most important people in your life? Scoutmaster, past coaches and art teachers, wife and three sons, golfing and tennis buddies

What is the first thing you read in the morning? Plain Dealer and WSJ or NY Times

How did you get into legal marketing? After 20 years in ad agency business, anxious to get on the “client side” and run things. I had the chance to join a growing and forward thinking firm who believed and supported marketing and communications.

What is the best thing about your job? Solving marketing challenges, participating on the firm’s strategic planning committee and then pushing my teams to do great, exciting, strategy-based creative projects. I especially love winning design and LMA Awards!

What advice would you offer a new entrant to the world of legal marketing? Be passionate. Love what you do. Read and learn from everything every day, then work tirelessly to do great work you can be proud of years from now. Never, ever give in to pressure or settle for second rate work.
