Title: Marketing Coordinator

Firm: Isaac Wiles Burkholder & Teetor, LLC

Education: BA in Psychology, Capital University

Where did you grow up? Columbus, OH

What was your first job? Dairy Queen

What would you be doing if you weren't in your current job? Working on a Doctorate of Psychology

What is currently on your iPod? The Zombies, Eagles, Frank Sinatra, Chopin, Dave Matthews,
Alt-J, and everything in between.

Where is your favorite place to go to relax? A local sports pub to catch a game, or Gallo’s Kitchen to catch up with the locals.

What is your favorite TV show? Favorite movie? TV: Lie To Me; Movie: Top Gun/Iron Man movies — Tie.

What is your favorite cuisine? It depends on my mood. Usually, Italian or Mediterranean.

If you were stranded on a desert island, who or what would you want to have with you? Megatron, and probably a charged iPhone (I’m sure, at this point, those things can probably make Gatorade and laser-print-out a jet with a pilot?).

Who are the most important people in your life? The ones that know my deepest secrets.

What is the first thing you read in the morning? Emails, before I even get out of bed (How I already have new ones by then, is beyond me), followed by ESPN news/Bleacher Report, with my coffee.

How did you get into legal marketing? I started at Wiles Boyle Burkholder & Bringardner, right as I finished high school. As I worked through college, I took on more and more administrative responsibilities. As the firm grew and there was talk of plans for a merger, the firm became larger enough to be able to use an individual in a marketing position. With the experience, trust, and unparalleled guidance of a great mentor (Rob Sander, Isaac Wiles Administrator), I was offered and gladly accepted the position of Marketing Coordinator.

What is the best thing about your job? I never live the same day twice. Always working on and learning new things.

What advice would you offer a new entrant to the world of legal marketing?

  1. Read and listen, more than ever. Make it part of your lifestyle.
  2. EVERYONE’S opinion is important; many will never realize that.
  3. If you can’t take rejection, run.
