Jack Rossin
Director of Client Communications
Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP
How did you get into Legal Marketing?
I was an independent marketing consultant and Sunstein was one of my clients. They asked me to help them find a marketing director and I used the Dick Chaney maneuver.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy working one-on-one with the attorneys to help them with their business development and business presentations. It’s very rewarding.
What is one of your favorite pastimes?
I am hopelessly addicted to golf and proud to say that after 20 years hitting that little white ball, I am no better today than when I started.
What was your first paying job?
My first paying job was working at a pawn shop. I worked there after school and weekends, summers and holidays. I eventually worked there 7 years. I learned things at the pawn shop they don’t teach at Harvard. I learned things they would be afraid to teach at Harvard.
If you were to take a sabbatical, what would you do with your time?
I’d love more time to write short stories. It’s a very challenging format to get plot and themes into fewer words.
If you had a super hero power, what would it be?
I’d be a dentist with Superman-like powers, so I can use super vision to x-ray teeth and laser focus to drill holes. I’d clean up.
What actor would play you in a movie?
Suzanne Pleshette
What is your favorite board game?
I love a game called Rummy Cube (spelled Rummikub) and can play it for hours.
