The Philadelphia office of Cozen O’Connor is looking for a bright, creative, client service-oriented Marketing Assistant with excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail to assist assigned department, affiliate company and marketing colleagues. The successful candidate will build a working knowledge of each group’s services as well as a good understanding of individual strategy, priorities, and clients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain marketing collateral, practice group descriptions, web copy and matter lists.
- Prepare and edit proposals and customized pitches, as well as respond to other requests for marketing materials.
- Update practice descriptions, lawyer bios, news, and publication items on the firm website.
- Maintain opportunities database related to pitches, proposals, and events; track results and generate reports.
- Support practice group marketer with department and affiliate client-facing webinars and seminars, duties vary by type of event to include some logistics, invitations, and presentation materials.
- Support practice group marketer with department and affiliate participation in seminars, conference/association sponsorships and other events, including assisting with logistics, managing advertising opportunities; ensuring sponsorship opportunities are leveraged; assisting in the coordination and execution of attorney participation in such profile-raising events.
- Assist practice group marketer with expense tracking, analysis, and reporting on seminars, webinars, sponsorships and other events.
- Assist practice group marketer with digital marketing campaigns for department initiatives.
- Prepare and submit nominations for legal market rankings and directories.
- Provide competitive intelligence and complete analytics projects in conjunction with Library Services.
- And other duties as assigned, for example assist in the development and distribution of internal newsletters.
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree required.
- One to three years of marketing and/or business development experience for a large professional services organization.
- Law firm experience is strongly preferred.
- Marketing education or experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Advanced PowerPoint skills and excel skills required.
- Database experience is preferred.
- Must be a professional, independent thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to offer constructive opinions and creative solutions.
- Ability to work within a complex and multifaceted business environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
