Serving on the Local Steering Committee (LSC) provides opportunities for you to make a difference in the services and benefits offered to local LMA members. It also allows you to enhance your leadership skills, make important industry connections for personal and professional career building opportunities and make friends in a community of legal marketing practitioners who share your interests. You will have the option to be directly involved in programming, membership development, special interest groups, communications, event planning and more.
In Boston, our LSC is made up of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and five Members.
We are seeking candidates to fill the following positions in 2018:
- Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Member, Programming Chair
- Member, Membership Engagement Chair
- Member, Marketing & Communications Liaison
- Member, Sponsorship Development & Fulfillment Liaison
Savannah Alden, 2017 Vice Chair, will ascend into the Chair position in 2018.

August 21: Call for Leaders opens
September 21: Call for Leaders close
October 2-5: Review of candidate submissions
Week of October 6: Nominees will be made aware of slate and announced
*This is a slate format whereby candidates will be appointed; this is not an election process.
Eligibility for Service
Must be an LMA member in good standing and current for at least 1 year
Must be a member for at least 1 year in Boston
Must have employer approval to participate as necessary
Cannot be from the same firm/organization as another Boston LSC member
Cannot be serving on more than one LMA board (international, regional or LSC) at any one time
