It is with great sadness that we share the news that we lost a thought leader, innovator and passionate contributor to the legal marketing community. Matt Godson, former LMA member, passed away on July 31, 2017 in New York from an aggressive and rare form of brain cancer. He was one day shy of his 45th birthday.
Born in London, Matt came to the United States in 2000 and quickly distinguished himself as one of the most intelligent marketing and analytical minds of his industry. Matt was the Co-CEO of Momentum Event Group, a company he co-founded in 2012 with his business partner Ben Greenzweig, a past board member of the New York Chapter. Matt got involved in the legal marketing community when he was working at the American Conference Institute in the mid-2000s.
Beloved by many, Matt touched the lives of countless individuals and always knew how to light up a room. A savvy executive, communicator and compassionate leader, Matt's professional impact was only matched by his personal one. Everyone who Matt met was better because of it.
