Book Review: LMA “Body of Knowledge”

At the LMA Annual Conference the association unveiled the LMA Body of Knowledge (BoK), a professional roadmap for legal marketing and business development professionals to use as a foundational resource of ideas, definitions and activities. The BoK defines the basic and advanced experience of accepted domains and competencies and related skills as well as desired behavioral trails of our profession.

Use

Legal marketers at all stages of our careers can use the LMA competency analysis tool (CAT) for each BoK domain to evaluate their skills and identify what professional development is needed. Senior leaders can use this book as a resources to manage and develop their teams as well as for recruiting and creating department and business strategies.

The BoK was created in participation with the LMA Education Advisory Council (EAC) and legal marketing experts.
