Winkleman-v2.jpgTitle: Business Development & Marketing Coordinator

Firm: Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC

Education: Kent State University: bachelor’s  in PR, bachelor’s in fashion merchandising, marketing minor

Where did you grow up? I was born in Ft. Myers, FL and moved to Ohio when I was 11.

What was your first job? This is my first job out of college. Previously, I was a PR intern at Akron Children’s Hospital, working for the hospital’s foundation.

What would you be doing if you weren't in your current job? Possibly some type of event planning, but anything PR or media relations.

What is currently on your iPod? A mix of stuff; mostly songs that pump me up while I’m working out.

Where is your favorite place to go to relax? The beach — any beach!

What is your favorite TV show? Favorite movie? My favorite TV show would probably have to be “Scandal.” I don’t know that I have a favorite movie.

What is your favorite cuisine? Anything seafood — shrimp, fish, lobster, crab.

If you were stranded on a desert island, who or what would you want to have with you? I would want my fiancé and fresh water with me!

Who are the most important people in your life? My parents, fiancé, fiancé’s family and all my friends.

What is the first thing you read in the morning? Either my email or Facebook — bad habit!

How did you get into legal marketing? I don’t really know how I got in to legal marketing. I never thought in a million years that I would work at a law firm. I applied for the job for the heck of it (I was looking for a job after graduating college) and I never expected to even get as much as an interview. When I came in for my interview, I loved the culture of Buckingham.

What is the best thing about your job?! I get to do what I love every day and am surrounded by people who appreciate and support me.

What advice would you offer a new entrant to the world of legal marketing? Learn how to de-stress. Take a walk on your lunch, start yoga or working out; find out how you deal with the stress of the legal field.
