How did you get into legal marketing? After working for a consulting company in Columbus, I applied for a job as a marketing assistant at Vorys about nine years ago. Have moved up (the “ladder”) and down (to Cincinnati) since then, and am now with FBT.
What is the best thing about your job? The friendships and seeing results and/or revelations pertaining to the client service behaviors of attorneys.
What advice would you offer a new entrant to the world of legal marketing? Keep a sense of humor. Lawyers can get way too serious sometimes and even if you can’t joke out loud, you can keep that humor in your heart while you face the challenges of the law firm environment.
What are you most looking forward to as an LMA Ohio Board member? Helping to establish a stronger networking platform for law firm business developers in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
