With an eye toward sharing common interests and issues, legal marketing professionals in the Kansas City area gathered in September at the offices of Bryan Cave in downtown Kansas City, Mo. Over lunch, which was hosted by Karen Maupin and Diane Lybarger, we began the process of organizing a Legal Marketing Association city group and later watched the Midwest Chapter’s educational program via videoconference. As our fledgling group begins to move forward, we gratefully acknowledge the support and encouragement of the Midwest Chapter and the St. Louis City Group, which fully understands the startup process.
For 2013, we want to continue the momentum that began in September. We have a KC LMA group on LinkedIn and have 38 members. And we anticipate a year of networking and educational opportunities in legal marketing.
