Ferriter Scobbo & Rodophele, PC

How did you get into Legal Marketing?
I had been with a marketing firm for several years when the conversation about legal marketing began.  I don’t think there’s any secret that my last name lines up with the firm name; my father is a shareholder at Ferriter Scobbo.  Over the course of about a year, he and I talked about Ferriter Scobbo’s marketing needs as they had never had a formal marketing person or department.  After many conversations, it was evident that Ferriter Scobbo’s needs and my skill set were a match.   I did some background research on the specifics of legal marketing and found that not only was there great potential for the firm, but also for marketers in this industry.  Shortly after, the firm brought me on board.  My father and I aren’t ones who typically mix business and family, so just between the two of us, we laid some ground rules- no talking about work at family events, and no talking about family stuff at work!

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I’m at a small firm where marketers where many hats. I love that. I can run a firm event and work with an attorney on their individual business development plan, and everything in between, all in one day.  In this job, you meet all kinds of people, and I like to connect the dots. It’s a professional version of “Oh you’re from/went to school/worked for…? Do you know...?”  Those two things make legal marketing a job that’s both diversified and entertaining!

What is one of your favorite pastimes?

Decorating! I’m not skilled or formally educated, so I can’t quite say Interior Design. But I do know that my place has mostly white walls so that I can change any, or all, décor on a whim. This past summer, my living room went through 2 transformations. Next up- the kitchen!

Pick three words to describe yourself.

Sarcastic (in the best way possible?), organized, and busy

What was your first paying job?
Babysitting. I was determined to make money, and I was too young to “get a real job.” I even started a “Kiddie Kamp” for my much younger sister and her friends- in my backyard.  As soon as I was old enough, I gave that up for CVS Pharmacy. That’s a discount I still miss!

If you were to take a sabbatical, what would you do with your time?
I would move to a beach destination.  It’s a not-so-secret dream of mine to spend a good amount of time in a laidback beach town.

If you had a super hero power, what would it be?

Mind-reading.

What actress would play you in a movie?
I have never thought about this! Truthfully, I had to ask a friend and they immediately said “Minnie Driver.  Without a doubt.”   Which makes sense, she’s a good combination of goofy and classic. Plus, she’s got the fair skin and dark hair.

What is your favorite board game?

Sorry! That’s might be a little juvenile of me, but I’m partial because I’m pretty sure I was the Sorry! champ of my 4th grade class.  That was the peak of my board game career.
