Where did you grow up? Canton, OH

What was your first job? Besides babysitting, my first jobs were in the restaurant industry. Lone Star Steakhouse, specifically. I just remember rolling lots of silverware!

What would you be doing if you weren't in your current job? I would probably be doing some sort of work exchange program overseas, maybe teaching English to children or working with animals.

What is currently on your iPod? My music taste is all over the place. I generally prefer country, but when I’m working out or feeling more hyped I go for rock or something more upbeat. My favorites for a while have been Randy Houser and Awolnation.

Where is your favorite place to go to relax? When I want to unwind I either get lost on a walk downtown Cleveland where I live, or binge watch Netflix from my couch. I love the Cleveland parks, and actually any trail in the Cuyahoga Valley parks.

What is your favorite TV show? Favorite movie? I don’t watch much live TV anymore, but my Netflix favorites right now are Scandal, Bloodline, Revenge and The New Girl. I’m also a Bachelor/Bachelorette follower. My friends turn it into a game where we bet who goes home each week, and I’ve won first place more often than not. Favorite movie? That’s a tough one, but I’d have to say anything with Johnny Depp will do.

What is your favorite cuisine? I would eat pizza over most things any day. Thick crust, with pepperoni and pineapple toppings.

If you were stranded on a desert island, who or what would you want to have with you? Definitely my Yorkie dog Bailey, to keep me company if I couldn’t have anyone else. He is a survivor so I’d have to follow his lead. Other than that, probably a blanket to keep me warm and a camera, so I could somehow document my days!

Who are the most important people in your life? Well, my three siblings, parents, boyfriend and friends are the obvious ones. But strangers are just as important, because you never know what you can learn from someone you know nothing about.

What is the first thing you read in the morning? If I’m being honest, probably the expiration dates on the items in my fridge! (I hate the grocery store). Probably followed by my Facebook and work emails.

How did you get into legal marketing? Like most people I think, by chance. I was laid off from my last marketing job, wanted a change of industry, saw my position posted and was immediately intrigued about a marketing position at a law firm. I’ve always been interested in that field but always loved marketing more than a legal profession. This is the best of both worlds, truly.

What is the best thing about your job? Getting to work with so many educated individuals. It really keeps you on your game. I love the fact that there are so many different practices you could delve into. It will never get boring and you are constantly learning.

What advice would you offer a new entrant to the world of legal marketing? Still new myself, I learned to jump in and don’t be afraid. No one knows everything but everyone knows something. Use the resources around you to build your own skill set, and constantly fine tune them.
