Influencing the Client Experience
Wednesday, October 28th
8:00am - 12:00pm
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Direct feedback from in-house counsel on what law firms are doing right and where they can do better
- TED talks on how firms are creatively responding to the marketplace and partnering with their clients
- Breakout sessions with your peers to develop action items stemming from the TED talks - take them back to your firms and reenergize yourself and your colleagues
THE DETAILS:
SCENE SETTING: Having conducted more than 1,350 in-house counsel interviews since 2007, the Wicker Park Group has seen major themes develop during those feedback sessions. Wicker Park routinely hears corporate clients flag issues surrounding Communication, Complacency, Credit, Adding Value, Succession Planning, Billing and Budgets, Managing Expectations, and Responsiveness.
This program will examine those pressure points and provide takeaways on how we as legal marketers can work to address them. Tara Weintritt, Partner, Wicker Park Group, will share her firm’s findings.
TED TALKS: Experts on the cutting edge of client service, client experience, and innovation will share their ideas on how to partner with, lead the charge, and be responsive to client needs. Through six fast-paced and engaging talks and based on the themes discussed previously, you will hear from thought leaders, both in and outside of law firms, who are enhancing and evolving the client relationship.
- Adding Value – Creating a Culture of Strategic Business Intelligence: Gina Lynch, Director of Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP
- Affinity Group Initiatives – Developing Client Relationships Through Affinity Groups: Dawn Afanador, Chief Marketing Officer, Gibbons P.C.

COLLABORATION: We are at our best when we share ideas and brain storm outside of our normal environment. The last part of the half-day will be dedicated to developing applicable action items in small groups. These fun and engaging breakout sessions will be facilitated by the TED-talk speakers and shared with all attendees.
