My mother started Printing Plus in 1949.

How many years have you been at Printing Plus?
42 years (plus a few more of illegal child labor before that).
Do you focus on local, regional or national business?
Local and regional is our main focus, although we have clients with offices throughout the country for whom we print and distribute to these locations.
Tell us about your professional background?
With the exception of a short stint in the advertising world I have been at Printing Plus all my professional life.
What services does Printing Plus offer?
We are a full service commercial printer, which translates into handling projects from design through print, bindery and mailing. From business cards to 6 color catalogs, whatever printing and finishing a business needs, we have the solution.
Does Printing Plus have a specialty?
Our primary focus is on stationery systems and marketing materials.
What industries do you service?
Legal, home furnishings, graphic design, photography, entertainment, high fashion design.
Tell us about one of your favorite client stories or projects?
About 30 years ago, just before our annual holiday vacation when we close our business for a week, we got a frantic call. The caller was the son of the owner of an import company for whom we had done a little bit of business. They were branching out into furniture and there was a show in Texas at the beginning of January for which he HAD to have a catalogue printed. After a little discussion my shop foreman thought it wise to come in and print the job himself and I decided to do a working vacation as well. The furniture line took off and that small company now has showrooms all over the world and remains an excellent client to this day.
How long have you been in LMA?
Three years.
What have been the benefits of your LMA membership?
It has expanded my knowledge of the marketing aspect in the legal profession and helps me to better understand my clients' expectations. I can be a more useful resource for my legal clients through having additional expertise in their field.
When you are not working, what are you doing?
Playing tennis, skiing, swimming, reading, traveling.
If you were not working at Printing Plus, where would you be working? In other words, what's your dream job?
Something involving animals and travel. Don't know what that might be other than a circus, and that is definitely not it.
