Milwaukee Update

By Pagette Fischer posted 03-30-2012 11:00

While much of our beloved Wisconsin stands deeply divided over political matters, we local members of LMA are instead striving to unite with one another across the state ─ on legal marketing. Most recently, Kate Scoptur, Director of Client Relations at Axley Brynelson, LLP, has offered to assist with 2012 Milwaukee City Group initiatives. Needless to say, after several years of towing the line solo, I’m quite delighted to have Kate onboard to share perspectives and ideas on behalf of our Wisconsin members. Given Kate’s Madison roots, her insights will nicely complement our overall efforts to unite members from outside the Milwaukee area to come together on common ground and freely exchange ideas and concerns with fellow industry leaders. Kate, welcome aboard!

With available webcasting on the horizon (yes indeed, another shameless plug to promote the rollout of our webcast sessions!) and the likely addition of a fifth in-person luncheon seminar in Milwaukee, 2012 is destined to enlighten us with a wealth of timely discussions on the key issues impacting our respective marketing and business development efforts. Likely topics coming our way include these:

  • Social Intelligence 2.0
  • Secrets of the Masters
  • Are Your Attorney Bios Grimmer than Tombstones? Try Bio CPR.
  • Driving a Business Development Culture
  • Understanding Analytics: Turning Statistics into Strategy
  • Mobile is the New Black: Are You Pondering Your Blue Website?

We’re also planning a roundtable social combo, new and improved for 2012. The goal of this merging of education and networking is to help draw members and others from Milwaukee and beyond for an after-hours thought leadership roundtable discussion, followed by the opportunity to unwind with the delights of spirits and appetizers.

Lastly, for those eager to exercise their writing urges, three opportunities remain open for 2012 to contribute updates/articles on behalf of the Milwaukee City Group for In the Loop.

Looking forward to seeing you all throughout the year! Stay tuned for more information on upcoming events.
