The CMO SIG enjoyed a thought-provoking presentation on April 13 on identifying different communications styles and adapting their style and their team’s style to be more productive and work more effectively with lawyers.
Guest speaker Rachel Anevski, the principal of Matters of Management, shared tools and guidance on how to improve organizational leadership and team functioning. Ms. Anevski focused in particular on the DISC personality assessment. Attendees were asked to fill out their own assessments to help them improve their communications skills and working relationships based on the survey’s findings. The group, after a going through the process and a subsequent discussion, unanimously felt that DISC assessments offer valuable insight into how to improve leadership and working dynamics anywhere and with anyone.
Many thanks to Stefanie Marrone and Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP for hosting the CMO SIG with a terrific Mexican spread from Dos Toros.
