Tampa Bay's October meeting featured speaker Lynda McDermott, President of EquiPro International. Lynda spoke on "Mastering the Art of Self-Promotion: Understand, Own and Communicate Your Value."
Her presentation described ways for legal marketers to:
- Communicate capabilities that are unique to your role within your organization;
- Identify potential pitfalls and mindsets that can hold women back, such as fear of rejection, and how to overcome them;
- Learn ways to communicate success without feeling as if you're bragging;
- Accept compliments and praise with appreciation and gratitude;
- Free your mind of doubt and become an exceptional storyteller about your accomplishments.
The presentation was engaging and everyone got some great takeaways and book recommendations by women in leadership roles.
