CHICAGO – Oct. 7, 2015 – The Legal Marketing Association Midwest Chapter recently announced the winners of the 2015 “Your Honor Awards,” honoring outstanding achievement and innovation in legal marketing and communications. Organized by Kate Harry Shipham, 2015 Your Honor Awards Chair and LMA Midwest Board Member, this event took place on Oct. 1 at Chicago’s Ivy Room. Winners were announced from dozens of finalists across 14 categories in marketing, sales, business development, public relations and design within a law firm or legal industry setting. “Our LMA Midwest Your Honor Awards recognize originality, execution, achievement and overall excellence in legal marketing, business development, communications and public relations,” said Sydney Iglitzen, LMA Midwest President and legal marketing consultant. “These awards distinguish Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin law firms and service providers who have set new standards in ingenuity in developing, promoting and retaining profitable businesses.”

The Rising Star Award
Winner: Jonathan Becks, Marketing Strategy & Business Development Professional This award was established by the LMA Midwest Board to acknowledge the contributions to the industry and service to the chapter by an outstanding young member. Young members are defined as those with fewer than five years of legal marketing experience. These members are often the unsung heroes of the Chapter as their developing needs and skill sets often serve as catalyst for change and new ideas within the Chapter. This award strives to recognize one individual who has shown leadership beyond his or her years, has stepped up to lend a hand wherever needed, and represents the potential that the next generation has to offer.
The Outstanding Service Award
Winner: Bill Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President, Sales at Werner Printing & Engraving Co.This award recognizes members who have made and continue to make outstanding and exemplary contributions to LMA members, the chapter, the organization and to the legal marketing profession and industry. This honor represents contributions made through the highest levels of participation and leadership. This award is given to members who are dedicated volunteers, committed, passionate and devoted to the betterment of LMA members and the Midwest chapter.
The Hall of Fame Award
Winner: Alycia Sutor, Managing Director, Akina This award celebrates individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the legal marketing industry and the Legal Marketing Association's Midwest Chapter. The honor represents the highest levels of experience and leadership in legal marketing and recognizes contributions made by individuals for the benefit of the industry, the association and its community of professionals. LMA members in good standing who have been actively involved in the profession for a minimum of 15 years are eligible for consideration.
