Marketing and Practice Development Manager
Sherin and Lodgen LLP

How did you get into Legal Marketing?

I started my career in the legal industry as a business development executive at Lawyers Weekly.  I was introduced to the Legal Marketing Association of New England and pushed myself to become more involved.   As I started to learn more about marketing and business development for law firms, I became hooked.  I used LMANE resources to find opportunities in-house.  When the position at Sherin and Lodgen popped up, I knew it would be a good fit.

What is your favorite aspect of LMA New England?

The people.  Everyone is willing to help out whenever they can.  I never feel uncomfortable reaching out to ask a question.

What are you most looking forward to about attending the LMA National Conference?

This year will be my first national conference.  I am most excited for the mentor program they initiated this year.

If you weren’t in Legal Marketing, what would you be doing instead?

I would probably be the general manager of a restaurant with the hopes of being an owner, one day.  When I graduated from Boston University, I didn’t take the 9am-5pm job route (my parents were thrilled about it…).  Instead, I became the general manager of an Irish bar in Boston.  I love the restaurant industry – and still bartend a few nights a week.

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

My brother and I competed in a ridiculous mini amazing race web series called “Plugged In” to promote Ford’s first hybrid car.  We won the Boston segment and were flown to LA to compete with 12 other teams from all over the US.  We didn’t win the prize (2 hybrid cars), but came in 2nd.

What is your favorite travel destination and why?

I love going to Lebanon.  Half of my family is still in Lebanon.  Traveling in the Middle East can be tricky, but Lebanon is such a beautiful and fun country!

If you could live in any other period of time, when would it be?

I would’ve loved to live in the 80s.  My hair has a mind of its own.  You can’t really tell in my headshot, but I had an afro at the age of 5.  It was great.
