President’s Letter
The turn of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on milestones from the past twelve months and set goals for the road ahead. The LMA New England Chapter saw an unprecedented year in 2014, with a record-breaking growth in membership and the launch of numerous initiatives focused on the future leaders of our Chapter. Your 2015 board and committee leaders are excited to continue this momentum in the year ahead. We also plan to bring our members a variety of new offerings, including community service group activities, partnerships with other professional service associations and new member socials. Be sure to follow LMANE on social media for the latest chapter news and event details.
I hope everyone stayed safe and warm during the recent blizzard in New England. While the historic snowstorm meant having to postpone our first LMANE program of 2015, we are excited to announce a new date has been set for Christine Dunn’s presentation. The former Boston Bureau Chief for Bloomberg News will join us on March 12th to discuss creating an executive newsroom. In the meantime, we hope to see everyone on February 24th as LMA Past-President and Hall of Fame Inductee, Silvia Coulter, presents an important report on the state of the legal industry and how law firms can evolve to confront the challenges ahead.
Coming this March, LMANE will continue the tradition of showcasing the top legal marketing projects across New England at our annual Your Honor Awards reception. This year we are proud to welcome LMA President, Adam Severson, as our very special guest and YHA emcee. And, don’t forget, the last day to submit your award-winning projects is Wednesday, February 18th. This is a unique opportunity to be recognized among our Association’s “best of the best” across New England.
As you can see, LMANE is running full steam ahead in 2015 and we are glad to have you along for the ride. I look forward to connecting at one of our many upcoming events. In the meantime, ‘Do Your Job’ this weekend…go Pats!
Cheers,
Shelley 2015 LMANE Chapter President
