A big, sincere thanks to everyone who helped coordinate, spoke at, and attended the 2013 LMA Midwest Conference. Attendees seem to have enjoyed the venue and found value in the topics and speakers. And, a big thanks to our sponsors, without whom these events would be difficult to offer. This conference was a great success thanks to you!

Mergers
The confusion is over: there is now only one Christina Solomon! (She’s at Freeborn & Peters.) The other and former Christina Solomon is now Christina Funk. On July 5, Christina, marketing manager at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, married Justin Funk in Detroit, Michigan. Christina was a magnificent bride. Justin, a senior account executive for MetLife, wasn’t too bad himself. The couple, who currently live in Ukrainian Village, Chicago, will be traveling Thailand, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, for their honeymoon in December. Send belated congratulations to Christina at csolomon@salvilaw.com.
More great news! After quite a whirlwind romance, Paulette Yanow, chief marketing officer at SmithAmundsen, tied the knot with Frank Valentin on a gorgeous day in July on the deck of the Spirit of Chicago at Navy Pier. Frank is in management with Sundberg America. Both Paulette and Frank have been too busy to schedule a honeymoon trip. But, Paulette is excited about their new condo in the South Loop. Send best wishes to Paulette at pyanow@salawus.com.
Jennifer Hoganson, now Jennifer Conley, marketing manager at Foley & Lardner, finally tied the knot and married Brandon Conley, an investment consultant analyst at Aon, on August 17, 2013, at the Chicago Marriott. Jen and Brandon are high school sweethearts and have been together for 14 years. Well, we think it was about time! Send all your best wishes for a wonderful life together to jconley@foley.com.
