Blank Rome LLP, a full-service, multi-disciplinary law firm with offices in DE, FL, NJ, NY, OH, PA, DC and Hong Kong, is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Specialist in their Philadelphia Office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serves as the Business Development liaison providing firm-wide support to specific practice groups and regions. Provide marketing and business development support to assigned practice and industry groups to help attorneys retain current clients and develop new lines of business.

Tasks Performed:

  • Assist in developing submissions for surveys and directories regarding the Firm’s capabilities.
  • Develop of power point presentations.
  • Develop responses to requests for proposals.
  • Assists with other practice group marketing and Business Development needs.
  • Implements aspects of practice groups’ business plans as required.
  • Assists in the production and submission of Firm charitable ads.
  • Creates, manages and updates web and Intranet content for relevant practice and industry groups being supported, including news, events and activities, notable transactions and cases, speaking and writing engagements.
  • Handles all associate orientations.
  • Track new business development opportunities in Interaction and track results of pitches and requests for proposals.
  • Oversee lists of transactions and matters for use in business development and marketing materials and for league table reporting.
  • Manage sponsorships of events, including preparation of marketing materials and ads, attorney registrations, and follow up coordination. Work with the Client Events Manager on events to the extent that participation required.
  • Manages new attorney integration as well as attorney promotions, including preparation of announcements and web bios.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides Business Development support to assigned region and practices.
  • Drafts company-specific pitch materials (templates/boiler plates) for respective practice group areas.
  • Maintains lists of transactions and matters for use in business development and marketing materials.
  • Stays current on legal marketing issues by reading publications/websites.
  • Help develop interesting, innovative and up-to-date presentation materials for company-specific pitches as well as templates/boilerplate language for various practice and industry groups.
  • Conduct research on clients and targets and develop thoughtful analysis reports.
  • Create, manage and update web and Intranet content for relevant practice and industry groups being supported, including news, events and activities, notable transactions and cases, and speaking and writing engagements.
  • Provides marketing support to assigned practice and industry groups to help develop the Blank Rome brand, promote the skills and accomplishments of our attorneys, and develop new lines of business.

Desired Education: Bachelors Degree in marketing or business field.

Desired Job Experience: 2 or 3 years’ experience in marketing or business field.
