The LMA - Bay area Chapter invites you to submit program ideas for the 2013 Legal Marketing Technology Conference/West.

  • Submissions are due by April 24, 2013. To submit program ideas for this conference, please complete this online form.
  • You will be informed by June 24, 2013 if your program idea has been selected.

This year the conference will have three formats: break-out sessions (during the main conference), Ignite 10 minute presentations, and in-depth workshops (during the pre-conference).

Break-out sessions. The breakout sessions will cover the full range of legal marketing technologies. Please read the guide below to understand what we are looking for. Our goal is to cover the full range of legal marketing technologies at the conference. Break-out sessions are 75 minutes. This means that you should have 50-60 minutes of programming to leave time for questions and answers. Break-out sessions attract 30 to 60 attendees.

In-depth workshops. This year we will be running in-depth workshops to address topics in more detail. These sessions will be part of our pre-conference the afternoon of Monday, October 28. The workshops are smaller, interactive, in-depth dives into subjects that our attendees would like to learn about. The main conference addresses the "whats" of technology, the pre-conference addresses the "hows." Examples include: How does SEO really work? How does responsive design work? How do I go about producing a law firm video? We expect in-depth workshops to attract 12-20 people.

Ignite 10 Minute Presentation. Do you have an idea worth sharing that would be a great 10 minute presentation? Based on the "ignite" format, we will be offering ignite sessions at the event.

What are we looking for? Our goal is to provide the best learning experience for attendees. This means that we want to have a range of programming that:

  • Addresses all of the current trends in legal marketing technologies
  • Presents knowledgeable, dynamic speakers who engage the audience
  • Provides useful takeaways for attendees
  • Addresses people who are new, mid-level and senior
  • Addresses issues of small, medium and large firms
