Hooray and a BIG Congratulations
Congratulations to all of the winners of the 2015 Your Honor Awards. This year’s YHA was a great event. YHA judges reviewed 73 submissions in a range of categories – a record number of entries. Special congratulations to Alycia Sutor, managing director at Akina, a GrowthPlay company, who was inducted into the LMA Midwest Hall of Fame and to Bill Fitzgerald, executive vice president, Werner Printing & Engraving, Co. who was named winner of the Outstanding Service Award. Also honored was Jonathan Becks, co-chair of programming of the Chicago City Group, who was named 2015 Rising Star in recognition of his amazing work on behalf of the chapter and the Chicago City Group. Sincere thanks to Kate Harry Shipham, senior recruiting manager, JJohnson Executive Search, and chair of this year’s YHA, for a super job.

BIG congratulations to fabulous LMA Midwest member, Melissa Marshall, who writes to let us know that darling baby, Lexi Reed Marshall, was born on Monday, June 29, 2015, at 10:19 a.m. She was 9 lbs. 1 oz. and 21 inches. Melissa’s husband Mike and Lexi’s big sister Kaelyn (2.5 years) are all well and have adjusted just fine to being a family of four. Amy Michele Jean, director of marketing and business development at Goldberg Kohn and Charles Christopher Oldiges, a certified public accountant and audit supervisor with Illinois Tool Works, were married at St. Benedict's Parish in Chicago on Sept. 12, 2015. Friends and family across the country traveled to take part in the celebration held at Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. Amy and Chris will honeymoon over Thanksgiving in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. - What the heck is happening? Maryanne Adams, formerly director, client services and development at Franzcek Radelet, has recently left the firm to join an accounting firm. We will miss her wisdom and advice at our Solo SIG get togethers and wish her well.
- Doug Hoover formerly CMO at Schiff Hardin has left the firm and formed Hoover360, a consultancy in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. We wish Doug the best.

2013 Hall of Famer, Sydney Iglitzen, is the 2015 president of LMA Midwest and was also president in 2008. She sat on the 2007-2009 and 2011-2014 Boards of Directors, was also the LMA Midwest program chair for many years, creating city groups and programming in Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and SE Michigan and was former chair of the PR Committee. She was formerly the first director of marketing and BD for three law firms, was the first public relations director for a major IP law firm and now consults on BD, marketing and PR for law firms. Sydney has been a Your Honor Awards co-chair for the past few years including the 2014 YHA and was chair of the 2013 LMA Midwest Conference.
