In celebration of Earth Day on Sunday, April 24, several members of the Metro NY chapter’s Corporate Social Responsibility Special Interest Group rolled up their sleeves to help the Clayton Williams Community Garden tend to its Spring gardening chores. The NYLMA contingent (see pictures) was led by chapter president Melissa Seitter and CSR SIG chair Leigh Ollman. The Clayton Williams Community Garden is part of the NYC Parks Green Thumb Program and has been a vital part of the Harlem community for more than 25 years.
The NYLMA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) SIG provides LMA members with the chance to network and learn from each other about CSR best practices. The CRG SIG emulates the increasing commitment by law firms to develop innovative ways to leverage their services and large employee base to give back to their communities and differentiate their brand through pro bono, diversity, sustainability, volunteer, charitable and other marketing initiatives.
