Program Information:

All businesses have two primary responsibilities: minimizing expenses while maximizing revenue.  In an increasingly competitive legal services environment, law firms must provide creative solutions that allow their clients to move beyond the billable hour and toward a mutually beneficial working relationship with their representative firms.   Please join us for an informative presentation that will focus on how firms are finding success by employing project management strategies and pricing scenarios that are attractive to their clients.

Topics will include:

  • How to build the most effective cross-functional team to solve your firm’s, and your client’s, challenges
  • Identifying the vision behind your firm’s pricing strategy, and effectively communicating it both internally and externally
  • Technology you can employ to build transparency into your client relationships
  • Communicating your firm’s value and what differentiates you from your competitors

Speakers:

Amy Hrehovick, Founder of Ailey Advisors

Amy is the founder of Ailey Advisors, a boutique consulting practice specializing in early-stage pricing, process improvement (PI), and project management (PM) implementation projects. Amy is a proven leader with strong systems-based problem solving skills, a deep understanding of legal analytics, and a passion for human behavior. Her work – designing hybrid pilots and facilitating interdisciplinary teams – ensures that clients are able to maximize the time and money invested by (1) delivering results and (2) communicating results across an organization. She shares her in-depth understanding of in house counsel needs and buying behaviors freely with the market, including clients. Pilot teams are also able to draw from her experience in navigating corporate hierarchies and systems to extract data and reconstruct reporting metrics.

Amy regularly collaborates with two leading legal management consultancies to enhance the role of metrics, teamwork, and sustainable skill development for law firm and law department leadership initiatives. Sample projects include compensation redesign, content management redesign, matter management redesign, experience management system design, time and billing redesign, engagement monitoring infrastructure design, client-team pilots, future leadership pilots, strategy plan writing and implementation, and information system restructuring (to better support data modeling and KPIs).

Previously to Ailey, Amy Hrehovcik spent time with Thomson Reuters where she advised midsized to large law firms on how to incorporate actionable information into interdepartmental workflows, maximize efficiency, and drive data-based decision making. She has trained hundreds of lawyers and litigation support teams to better use analytics. While there, she re-engineered the Westlaw Dockets product offering to better meet client demand – drafted pricing, performance metrics, go-to market positioning, implementation processes, and internal and external account management trainings – and awarded the prestigious “Spot You” accommodation for the results.
