Marketing Specialist
Foley Hoag LLP
LMA NE Future Leader Fellow

How did you get into Legal Marketing?

Shortly after I relocated to Boston from Los Angeles, I started working as a communications associate at an angel investment company with an office at Foley Hoag. I became friends with Foley Hoag’s marketing assistant, who encouraged me to apply for an opening in the department. My interview there was unlike any other I’d ever experienced - more like catching up with old friends who had very impressive professional backgrounds. As a journalism school graduate, what attracted me the most to this position and field was how much great content attorneys produce every day, and how much we can help them on promotional strategy and outreach.

What aspect of the fellowship program are you most excited about?

Most importantly, I can’t wait to meet other LMA members and attend as many events/webinars as possible. I have a lot to learn and look forward to hearing from other professionals about their experiences as it relates to the industry.

If you weren’t in Legal Marketing, what would you be doing instead?

I’d probably be buried in some English literature PhD program finally reading War and Peace and hoping that someday I’d find a field like legal marketing.

What are three words others would use to describe you?

Tall, Energetic, Punctual

What is your favorite travel destination and why?

Anywhere in the Mediterranean. I love everything about the landscape, lifestyle, food and climate. During college, I studied abroad in Cyprus and have been lucky enough to travel extensively around Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey. I also recently returned from Cartagena, Colombia, which stands out as another wonderful destination.

What actor would play you in a movie?

Hopefully Zooey Deschanel. We’re both a little weird, musical and like to make awkwardly timed jokes. Plus there’s the brown hair.

If you could pick any place to live, where would it be?

Kailua-Kona, HI because I love coffee, sunshine, swimming in the ocean and pineapples.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

I’m currently training for the Boston Marathon, so right now I couldn’t live without my GPS watch to tell me that I’ve completed my weekly mileage goals.
